This section deals with travel, both travel from other countries to Dubai and internal travel within the city.
Travel to Dubai
Dubai International Airport (IATA code: DXB) is the main airport for Dubai and for the UAE as a whole. Dubai International is served by most major airlines and 34 million passengers passed through in 2007. It is currently being expanded to accommodate the huge demand for flights to Dubai.

Travel within Dubai
Although Dubai has a decent and improving bus network, ferry boats, many taxis and is currently building a metro railway, most of the travel around Dubai is by car. Toll routes were recently introduced on some roads in Dubai.
Another method of crossing the Dubai Creek from Bur Dubai to Deira is in traditional abras, small boats that ferry passengers across the water.
