Accommodation and property in Dubai
This section deals with buying and renting property in Dubai.
Buying property in Dubai
In some ways it could be said that at the moment Dubai is one giant building site, wherever you look ambitious mega-projects are in progress. However, because of the popularity of Dubai, and because it is one of the few places where foreigners can actually buy land, property is still relatively expensive. Many people choose to live in one of the more modestly priced out of town developments that are springing up around Dubai City.

Renting property in Dubai
An alternative to buying in Dubai is to rent a house or apartment. Again though, because of the pressure on the housing market this can be quite expensive. The further away from the main business districts you are seeking to live the more reasonable rents are though. Laws have recently been passed to prevent landlords inflicting huge rent hikes on their tenants, so rents are guaranteed not to rise more than 5% per year.
